The Founder's Parlor (Texas/New Mexico Parlor), to the right of the Ohio Foyer, is a gift of the Texas/New Mexico Delta Zetas. Upon entering the room, one's eyes are immediately drawn to the fireplace mantel, above which hangs the painting of the Founders, presented to Delta Zeta by Jean Coleman Lisle, Alpha, (Julia Bishop's daughter) and Myrtle Graeter Malott Hinkly, Delta, Past National President. The crystal chandelier hangs above hardwood floors, which are covered with a Persian Oriental rug in the tree of life design on a rose, green and cream background. A beautiful carved rosewood piano (circa 1880) in the square grand fashion was donated by the Lucile Crowell Cooks family.
