Betsy Bradley Leach, Southern California - Alpha Iota, played a crucial role in preserving the heritage housed today at Delta Zeta’s National Historical Museum and Headquarters in Oxford, Ohio. A National Council member from 1948 to 1966, she was appointed to the National Historical Museum Board of Trustees and became Curator in 1985. “Betsy was dedicated to preserving our heritage,” then-National President Sandra McAlister Fisher, Auburn - Beta Xi, said after Mrs. Leach’s death in 1996. “She wanted Delta Zeta to know and respect our past and worked diligently with our artifacts and memorabilia to ensure this would be possible.” The Betsy B. and Garold A. Leach Scholarship was established for undergraduates and graduate students in museum work and related fields. Photo: Mrs. Leach (right) with actress Gena Rowlands in 1976.
