Read about Lucile Crowell Cooks on the wall plaque featured at the base of the main staircase. She was the Delta Zeta Woman of the Year for 1973, a longtime member of National Council, President Emeritus of the Historical Museum, and instrumental in working with Dr. Philip Shriver, Miami University President Emeritus, to bring Delta Zeta home to Oxford. Mrs. Cooks donated the picture of the Miami Native American – Miami’s mascot for many years. She was also the first woman ever to serve as Chairman on the Board of Trustees of Miami University and on the board of any other state university in Ohio.
