Irene C. Boughton, Past National President
As a Past National President (1936-1938) and Executive Secretary, Irene Boughton, Iowa - Iota, had a thorough knowledge of the Sorority. She became Editor of The LAMP in 1940 when National Council determined that the magazine should be produced from National Headquarters. She proudly served as National Panhellenic Conference Chairman of the Central Office Executives from 1949 to 1951. Irene and Grace Mason Lundy, Indiana - Epsilon, Past National President, were the first inductees in the Order of the Laurel, Delta Zeta's highest honor. Artifacts from her life are on display in the Executive Director's office.
