Shelley Levine Berkley began her political career as a part of the student government at UNLV, serving as the first female student body president. To further her education and better prepare for a career in politics, she earned a Juris Doctorate from the University of San Diego School of Law. Shelley was elected to the United States House of Representatives in 1998. Among her many activities, she produced and co-hosted a television talk show, "Legislature in Review."
